This symposium aims to share insights and methods for promoting independent thinking among secondary school students through Philosophical Inquiry as a pedagogy. Apart from the keynote speeches from CUHK scholar Dr. Will Ng and Hong Kong stand-up comedian Mr. Vivek Mahbubani, there will be a student-led philosophical inquiry session and presentations from the John Locke Institute Essay Competition shortlist.

This event is dedicated to honoring Mr. CM Mak, a devoted educator who promoted Philosophy for Children (P4C) to the educational field.
