'Return to the Forbidden Planet'. The orchestra; both junior and senior rock bands; the choir; the sign language ELA group; the Visual Art department ; student ambassadors and a cast of actors created the annual musical in the School Hall on the 3rd and 4th of July.

Set in deep space and loosely modelled on William Shakespeare's 'The Tempest', the production presented significant challenges to everyone involved. It was a pleasure to see the ways in which the students rose to those challenges. They dealt, admirably, with difficult and unfamiliar language, movement, music and the telling of a story with commitment and great heart.

Whether in S1 or S4, the students involved gave their valuable time and effort to produce a performance of which they can be rightly proud and which demonstrated the qualities and skills required to create an event like this: creativity; perseverance; imagination and cooperation.
