A curriculum integration program about ecosystem and environmental conservation was launched at PS for P6 students in January. The P6 Curriculum Integration Program is a multi-disciplinary and integrated learning experience. It facilitates the learning of Ecosystem in General Studies, descriptive writing in Chinese Language, presentation skills in English Language and logo design in Visual Art.

To enrich students’ learning experience, a life-wide learning day trip to the Tai Tam Reservoir was arranged. Apart from having the authentic learning experience, Dr. Billy HAU of the School of Ecology & Biodiversity, HKU, was invited to give our students a talk on “Biodiversity and Human Activities”.

In the talk, students learned human activities, such as introduction or invasive species, destruction of natural habitats, over-exploitation and environmental pollution, would all have disastrous and long-term impact on our natural environment.
