Four of our HKUGAC STEM teams had been selected to be finalists in the 21st Hong Kong Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition 2018-2019. They had the final judging session on 30th March at the Hong Kong Science. Students also gained an opportunity to exchange views of science and innovation with other schools during the competition.

Their project, “AL-armband” which is designed for detecting cardiac arrest and heat stroke won the 1st prize in Senior Section Engineering, 3rd prize of OSHC Special Award for outstanding project in occupational safety and health and Emerson Special Award. “Branarians” won the 3rd prize in Junior Section Biology and Health. Another 2 projects, “Freshness Maintaining Safe” and “Biogas bloom” also won the Merit awards.
