A talk regarding the HKU-Cambridge Joint Recruitment Scheme was held in the college on 23rd October 2019. We were honoured to have Professor David Cardwell (Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Strategy and Planning), University of Cambridge), Professor Edmund Lam (Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning), Faculty do Engineering, HKU), and Ms. Vanessa Li (Admissions and Academic Liaison Section of the Registry, HKU) as our guest speakers. In the talk, our senior students were introduced the HKU-Cambridge Joint Recruitment Scheme with details. Prof. Cardwell also shared some principles behind choosing the right university and the suitable course, and the unique college system in the University of Cambridge. Students were encouraged to discover more beyond what we learn at school in order to develop a deep interest and understanding towards a subject.
