The Foundation held the Annual Dinner on 8 December 2023 (Friday) at Lippo Chiu Chow Restaurant in Admiralty. The dinner was a great success with almost 170 participants including Foundation veterans, committee members, new members, parents and teaching professionals from our two schools.

We were honoured to have Professor Y C Richard Wong, SBS, JP, Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hong Kong, as our Guest of Honour to deliver a speech on “Three Decades of the Changing World Economy and Coming Challenges”. Professor Wong believes that a changing world brings with its new challenges, but also opportunities for education development.

During the Dinner, an alumnus　of our two schools, LAM Tim Yan Timothy, shared with Dinner guests his “17-year through-train” journey which began with HKUGA Primary School at 2007 moving on to the University of Hong Kong. Timothy emphasised the importance of developing a good reading habit since his years in HKUGAPS. He also expressed his gratitude towards the Foundation in providing an enjoyable environment and a space for trial and error for students to learn and grow. Moreover, it was such a blessing that he was able to be back to our Primary School and then our College for teaching practice!
