Cultural trip to Macau

A one-day cultural trip to Macau was organized for members on 16 April (Saturday). The event was well-attended by 24 participants.
The visit was led by volunteer docent, Mr. Ray Chan, who introduced the development history of and many architectural features in Macau. The tour provided us a unique and inspiring experience. The following spots were visited,

- Our Lady of Carmel Church
- I Leng Temple
- Kun Iam Temple
- Rua do Cunha Street
- Sun Yat Sen Memorial House
- Jao Tsung-I Academy
- Lou Lim Ieoc Garden
- Macao Tea Culture House
- Octagonal Pavilion
- Old Court Building : (“Where the World Heritage Shines – Photography Exhibition of the Historic Centre of Macao”)
- Praca de Jorge Alvares
Enhancing participants’ understanding of the historical and cultural value of Macau, the visit was very well received. We would like to thank Mr. Ray Chan for providing an interesting, informative and indepth introduction and to Mr. Jimmy Lo for organizing this meaningful tour.
