Guided tour for the exhibition Dunhuang - Untold Tales, Untold Riches
BackA guided tour for the exhibition Dunhuang - Untold Tales, Untold Riches was organized for members on 14 February, 2015 (Saturday) which was highly rated by the 38 participants.
The visit was highlighted by Ms Lee Mei-yin, Special Researcher of Dunhuang Academy who introduced in depth the important treasure troves of art and culture in the world-acclaimed rock-cut caves at Dunhuang in the exhibition. Mogao Caves, in particular, comprise the largest and most richly-endowed Buddhist grottoes in China. This exhibition showcases nearly 120 artefacts of Dunhuang grotto art including three valuable replica caves, a 13-metre-long statue of Buddha, copies of the cave murals, and more.
We would like to thank Ms. Lee for providing a meaningful and informative tour for our members.
