The LEAP trial project is organized by the Foundation and supported by the Education Bureau, which recommended and liaised with four schools to participate:

• Po Kok Secondary School
• HKTA Yuen Yuen Institute No. 3 Secondary School
• SKH Li Ping Secondary School
• Fanling Kau Yan College

This project aims to enable 120 S5 students to learn, through direct dialogue in grroups with Mentors, essential and positive attitudes and strategies in finding their right career path.  It is hoped that the Mentors will share with the students their personal experience in career advancement – how they set their goals and direction, how they make disciplined efforts in self-improvement and find ways to adapt to and grow with the changing demands in the working environment.

The project mentors are mainly middle management staff members from the following companies and industries and we highly appreciate their support:

• Swire Resources Limited
• Holiday Inn Golden Mile
• Bank of China (Hong Kong)
• Hong Yip Service Company Limited
• Former disciplinary forces, including Ex-Senior Superintendent, Ex-Senior Immigration Officer and Retired Inspector of Police

A Program Briefing Session was successfully held on February 25 with 15 persons attending.  The Briefing conducted by Vivien Pau was very well-received and the feedback by the participants was positive.
