In recent years, the Education Bureau, HKSAR has been organizing for the Liberal Studies subject teachers the professional development programme entitled “NSS Enriching Knowledge for Liberal Studies Curriculum – Modern China Series”. Some talks were co-organized with HKUGA Education Foundation. The Foundation invited and liaised with business entrepreneurs/executives and professionals as speakers.

The first talk was co-organized by the Education Bureau, the Foundation, New Territories West Liberal Studies Profession Network, Hong Kong Liberal Studies Teachers Association and Hong Kong Civic Education Teacher. The speaker was Prof. Paul Yip Kwok-wah, Chairman of the Hong Kong Policy Research Institute, and the topic was "The Inheritance of Chinese Culture in Global Perspectives".

The talk was well received with the participation of over 300 Liberal Studies and Civic Education teachers. Prof.Yip's talk was captivating and gained significant resonance among participants. They commented that the talk was informative and the knowledge gained could be applied to their teaching.
