Christmas is one of the most exciting and festive time of the year when hope, joy, generosity, goodwill, and fellowship abound. It is also a day to party with friends and relatives. To bring joy and spread happiness and Christmas spirit around our campus, an inter-house singing contest and a classroom Christmas decoration contest were organized by the ELA committee and the Students Council on Friday 20th December 2013.

For the inter-house singing competition this year, 68 enthusiastic solos and groups participated in this event. An absolutely awesome stage performance was done. All the competitors performed a variety of songs. They came up with such melodious voices which attracted all the audience’s attention. A great support was given from the audience.  All students who took part in the competition, including the MC, stage helpers and lighting, made the competition a great success. Everyone sang exceptionally well and the winners were well-appreciated by the judges.

Highly commended was the S6 inter-class competition with creative and enjoyable performances. Our final year students literally gave their heart and soul in the performance and every screw was stretched to the limit. The principal stated that the competition was a great success as it brought out numerous hidden talents from our students. All in all, it was a beautiful and memorable day which will surely be treasured by all.

Every year, the school organizes a classroom Christmas decoration contest and there is no exception this year. One of the three criteria was being environmentally friendly. In order to score high in this, students made the best use of recycling materials. They made Christmas trees and decorations with recycled papers and built brick walls outside the classroom with newspapers. It is simply amazing how creative our students are.
