Junior Achievement Company Programme Trade Fair

College
17 Dec 2016

Sixteen S4-S5 BAFS and Economics students of College learned how to run a business under the Junior Achievement Company Programme (JA CP) organized by the Junior Achievement Hong Kong. They showcased their products at the JA CP Trade Fair, which was held in Charter Garden, Central. There were 87 other teams who joined the Trade Fair.

College’s JA Company, Re: Store, led by the Chief Executive Officer, Kevin Lai (S5NW), sought to restore the well-being of people and relieve people's stress. Re: Store believed that just a little sparkle and glitter in people's daily lives can create a life-long impact. The products included light bulb-shaped decorations and Christmas mason jars for customers to put on their desk in the office or at home. All products were handmade and unique.

Throughout the activity, students learned (1) how to setup a business with a clear vision and mission, (2) how to design and manufacture products, (3) how to raise capital and control expenses and (4) how to promote a business.

After the JA CP Trade Fair, students will write an annual report for their business.
