Presentation Sessions of North Star Mentorship Programme 2016-2017

College
20 - 28 Feb 2017

College encourages students to look beyond the classroom, all S5 students were participated in the S5 North Star Mentorship Programme. They shared and interacted with distinguished mentors. The mentors guided the students about possible careers they could pursue.

The programme was inaugurated on 29th of September, when students first met their respective mentors. Different tasks were then given to the students, that would be submitted before their next meeting. Tasks were individualised, and were aimed at enhancing students' knowledge towards their respective careers, at the same time allowing mentors to know more about the students.

The programme then proceeded to the second phase, where students visited their mentor's workplace. Throughout their visit, students were exposed to not only their prospective career, but also inspiration to make an informed career choice. Students learned about the routines of their career, as well as about what it takes to be successful at their respective careers.

The programme came to a close from 20th to 28th of February, as students wrapped up the programme with a presentation summarizing their progress to their mentors and the S4 students. Indeed, the North Star Programme has presented an invaluable opportunity for students to discover their career prospects, as well as preparing students for the future. The programme unequivocally provided students with useful networks for the future and equipped students with essential skills for the workplace.

College sincerely thanks all mentors who have dedicated their precious time and shared their experience to educate the students throughout the entire programme.
