The Foundation held the 13th AGM in the evening of 9 December (Monday) at Foo Ka Chinese Restaurant. The Meeting approved the audited accounts and the EXCO report, and appointed the new EXCO members for the 2014 & 2015 term. A Dinner Talk was held after the AGM. We were honoured to have Mr. Chua Hoi Wai, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, as the Guest Speaker, and the topic was“教育=脫貧?”.

Mr. Chua briefly introduced the poverty line results recently released by the Commission on Poverty, and the situation faced by some vulnerable groups. He also discussed if education could effectively help them get away from poverty. The speech generated heated discussion in that evening.
