A half day Tram Tour was organized for members on 19 November (Saturday). The event was well-attended by 30 participants.

The tour was led by volunteer docent, Mr. Ringo Li, ExCo member of Education Foundation, who introduced some well-known attractions along the route to us and shared with us the historical background of Central and Western District. The tram tour departed from and ended at the Whitty Street Tram Depot. (Tram route: Whitty Street Tram Depot > Central > Admiralty > Wanchai > Causeway Bay > Happy Valley > Whitty Street.)

The tram tour was very well received and enhanced the participants’ understanding of the historical and cultural value of the Central and Western Districts. During the journey, we passed through bustling streets, modern cityscapes and attractions from the open-top upper deck of the Antique Tram.

We would like to thank Mr. Li for providing us an interesting and informative introduction of historical sites, and sharing Hong Kong stories with us.
